this is the Braun Series 7- 790cc Pulsonic Shaver SystemBraun is of the leading names in the world of male personal care. The 790cc Pulsonic Shaver can be considered the Rolls Royce of male personal grooming products. It features a range of advanced features that make it an excellent and effective product to use. Since I purchased my Braun Pulsonic Shaver, I have found personal maintenance takes far less time than before. I also get a much better result than with other products in the past. I will now explain in detail some of the features the product has as well as the aspects I have found to be particularly good or bad. I will then conclude with a suggestion on whether this is the right product to meet your specific set of needs.

Product Features and Specifications

In this section of the review I will give a rundown of the Pulsonic Shaver’s main features from the perspective of an actual user and explain what they are like to use.

ActiveLift

One of the best things about using the Pulsonic by Braun is its ActiveLift middle blade. This helps to remove flat or low hairs from the face and allow them to be captured by the cutting parts. I have often had a problem where flatter facial hair is not captured by a razor which either leaves a patchy finish or causes irritation due to the need to run the shaver over the face an excessive number of times in order to fully capture all of the hair.

Precision Trimmer

The precision trimmer is one of the most useful features on the Pulsonic. It features a small, precise cutting edge which can be used for pinpoint trimming of facial hair, sideburns and the back of the neck. One of the hardest things with many shavers is getting a precise trim on the more difficult areas. The Pulsonic can handle these without a problem. My sideburns, mustache and back of the neck always look at their best thanks to the smaller, sharper cutting surface of the precision trimmer.

Waterproof and Washable

The coolest thing about the Pulsonic is the fact it is waterproof and washable. This is great as in the past I have used shavers that stopped working entirely when they are exposed to water. As I shave in the bathroom, after a shower, like most guys I know, it is obviously beneficial to have a fully waterproof shaver. It even means it can be used in the shower itself when I am pushed for time.

The fact that the shaver is washable is also a great feature. Although the shaver has a full cleaning mode, which will be explained subsequently, it is also easy to wash it during use. When trimming my beard, I just give it a rinse under the tap to clear any hair and keep it functioning well. This is a quick and easy process that saves time and effort.

Cleaning Mode

The automatic cleaning mode is possibly my favorite feature the Pulsonic has. At the touch of a button it cleans, lubricates and charges itself. This is so simple compared to other shavers I have owned that require taking apart and cleaning.

The Good

The Pulsonic shaver is the best model I have ever owned. It is so easy to use. The best parts about it are how well it performs in terms of first time hair removal, how easy it is to clean and how it is fully waterproof. It saves a lot of time and effort over other models of shaver and saves me time in the morning.

The Bad

There are not many negatives to mention about the Pulsonic. Some people might find the price to be a costly investment in the initial instance but when compared to the cost of disposable razors and blades as well as shaving cream, or replacing inferior quality electronic shavers, it makes great financial sense.

Conclusion

Overall, the Braun Pulsonic shaver is highly recommended. It is fully featured, easy to use and clean and does a great job the first time round. It is a great purchase for men like myself who prefer to trim and shape their beard and other facial hair regularly. The quality of its components leads to great standards of performance. The slightly high initial cost is more than justified over the lifetime of the product.
